The Ninth Circuit Court rules to keep Muslim ban temporary restraining order in place.
A federal appeals court panel today rejected the Trump administration’s request to reinstate a controversial immigration order, which if enacted, would ban refugees and citizens from seven Muslim-majority countries from entering the United States.
The Main Street Alliance, a network of small business owners across the nation, issued the following statement:
“The Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals acted as a necessary check on President Trump’s discriminatory and likely unconstitutional executive order. The United States must be a place where people from all nations, races, and creeds feel welcome and can build safe, prosperous lives. Immigrants and refugees are drivers of economic growth and innovation in our country, starting small businesses and creating jobs. Both as a foundational principle and in the interest of building thriving communities, Main Street small business owners reaffirm that “all are welcome here.”
