Small Businesses Support the Corporate Transparency Act
Main Street Alliance sent the following letter supporting the Corporate Transparency Act to Congressional Leaders:

Dear Speaker Pelosi and Minority Leader McCarthy:
The Main Street Alliance is a national network of small businesses who engage on important public policy issues that work for business owners, their employees, and the communities they serve. We represent 30,000 small business owners across the country and write to urge you to support the Corporate Transparency Act of 2019 (H.R. 2513). This bill, which would help curb tax evasion, corruption, and fraud facilitated by anonymous shell companies, is central to this mission.

Our federal government must do everything that it can to protect the integrity of US elections. As the investigation moves forward, Main Street Alliance small business owners are hopeful that accountability is a priority, and look forward to moving on from this tumultuous season of politics towards more transparency from this administration.”

Community Groups Statement:
We are coming together to show that while hate can break windows, we won't let hate break our community. We stand in solidarity with Seward business owners and the East African community that has been targeted more broadly and believe it is important that we all stand up in unison and say that hate has no business here.
Community groups are asking Minnesotans to join them in helping rebuild and show solidarity with these businesses.
