Main Street Alliance Executive Committee member David Borris, owner of Hel's Kitchen Catering in Northbrook, Illinois, testified before the House Small Business Committee on March 22, 2017 in a hearing about "Making Washington Work for America's Small Businesses."
In his testimony, David emphasized small businesses' need for affordable, quality health care that's free from volatile premium increases year to year. He also talked about why small businesses need sensible, protective regulations - like the ones that keep his customers' food and water safe - and concluded by reminding the committee that fundamentally, small businesses need customers more than anything. A strong middle class means small business success.
